Avik Dey has joined as Executive Vice President, Technology and Stephen Kim has joined as Executive Vice President, General Counsel.

Kim brings more than 20 years of legal experience to Marin. Previously, Kim served as EVP, General Counsel and Chief Legal and Compliance Officer at Diamond Foods, a consumer packaged goods company based in San Francisco. Earlier in his career, Kim served as General Counsel at enterprise software company Oblix, which was later acquired by Oracle. Kim has also worked as an attorney with Wilson, Sonsini, Goodrich & Rosati and Weil Gotshal & Manges. He holds a BA from Johns Hopkins University and a JD from New York University School of Law.
Dey has over 25 years experience in technology management, with extensive expertise in platform development, business and technology strategy definition, team development, and program management. Dey joins Marin from Intel, where he was most recently World Wide Director of Hadoop Engineering and was responsible for managing a team of over 50 architects and engineers developing industry leading Apache Hadoop stack software. He previously led large development teams at eBay, where he helped redefine strategy for Hadoop engineering investments and oversaw delivery of a large-scale in-house self-service cloud environment. Prior to that Dey was at Yahoo, where he was the Lead Program Manager and delivered Hadoop-as-a-Service product used by 1,300 concurrent users running on over 40,000 nodes.
