Calling all kids!!! The Shaw Rocket Fund is pleased to announce that voting for the tenth-annual Shaw Rocket Prize is now open. Beginning today, kids from across Canada are invited to join the 2014 jury by registering at and voting for their favorite independently-produced children–s program for a chance to win one of three $2,500 scholarships.
The $25,000 Shaw Rocket Prize is presented each year to the best independently-produced Canadian children–s, youth, and family programs and their associated digital content. The finalists of the 2014 Shaw Rocket Prize–s three categories were selected by an international jury of industry experts this past September, with children from across Canada ultimately choosing the winners in each category over the next four weeks.

Once registered, children will be given the opportunity to screen the three finalist TV shows on any device in their respective age category – Preschool (ages 0-to-5), Children (ages 6-to-12) and Youth/Family (ages 13-to-17) -and vote for the programs they love the most. All children who vote will be entered into a draw to win a $2,500 scholarship.
Children wanting to exhibit that extra bout of creative flair can also submit a video explaining why they chose their favourite show, with the winning submission securing a $2,500 scholarship, a tablet, and a trip to Ottawa to attend the Shaw Rocket Prize gala on Tuesday, November 25.
