Bolton & Menk is an engineering company based in Mankato, Minnesota, and its key challenge is providing fast and reliable access to up to 50 MB project management files generated in Newforma and other applications. The company operates 14 offices, where users share project data with programs such as AutoCAD Map & Civil 3D, Bentley MicroStation & GeoPAK, ESRI ArcGIS, and Newforma. To date, the company has maintained a decentralized IT architecture, with remote offices accessing files on their own servers. The problem was no data consistency between offices.
