MALVERN, PA — (Marketwired) — 12/03/13 — Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH) today introduced a new series of high-precision thin film MELF resistors. Designed for demanding applications with high stability and reliability requirements, the Vishay Beyschlag UMB 0207 series devices are the industry-s first MELF resistors to offer low TCR down to +/- 5 ppm/K and tolerances down to +/- 0.02 % in the standard 0207 case size.
The UMB 0207 series combines the proven reliability of professional MELF products with the most advanced level of precision and stability ever achieved with axial thin film high-precision resistors. This unique combination makes the devices perfectly suited for precision circuits in measurement and calibration equipment, industrial process control systems, aerospace electronics, and medical equipment.
The UMB 0207 offers a resistance range from 100 ohms to 390 kilohms, high operating voltage of 350 V, rated power dissipation to 400 mW at +70 degrees C, and excellent long-term stability down to less than 0.02 % after 1,000 hours. Suitable for processing on automatic SMD assembly systems, the devices are completely “Green” — lead (Pb)-free, halogen-free, and RoHS-compliant without exemptions.
Samples and production quantities of the UMB 0207 resistors are available now, with lead times of six weeks for larger orders.
