NEW YORK, NY — (Marketwired) — 12/02/13 — , an initiative connecting tech entrepreneurs with nonprofits to accelerate innovation for the social good, has appointed Jane Del Ser as managing director. The announcement was made today by Ira Machowsky, executive vice president of . FEGS is one of the nation-s largest and most diversified nonprofit health and human services organizations, and launched Center4 this past year.
“Center4 is about capturing the energy and innovation from New York City-s booming tech scene and directing it to the nonprofit sector to help build infrastructure capacity and produce better outcomes more efficiently for people in need,” said Machowsky. “Jane-s background in high tech, go-to-market strategy and execution, as well as work designing solutions for nonprofits and social enterprises, uniquely positions her to advance the mission and work of Center4.”
Del Ser has spent more than a decade working with high tech startups, social enterprises and nonprofits. She will set strategic direction and manage all Center4 programming, partnerships and entrepreneurial ventures.
Del Ser comes to Center4 most recently from Zankyou Ventures, a global technology startup based in Spain, where she served as director for the Americas. Previously, Jane worked with nonprofits and social enterprises including , and . At Strands Inc., a high-tech venture that powers online personalization, Jane was responsible for building and scaling a B2B software platform. Jane has led several startup operations and specializes in bringing innovative technology products and services to developed and emerging markets.
