COLORADO SPRINGS, CO — (Marketwired) — 11/22/13 —

The Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA) today announced its inaugural Data Storage Innovation Conference (DSI), and issued a call for presentations — see . Targeted at IT decision-makers, technology implementers, and those expected to influence, implement and support data storage innovation as actual production solutions, DSI is owned and produced by SNIA and is being specifically differentiated from SNIA-s long-running Storage Developer Conference (SDC).
Sessions at DSI will provide insights into new technology areas such as software defined storage, cloud, big data, along with many other aspects of data management and network-connected storage. New innovations and updates to many existing storage technologies will also be presented. Actual deployment blueprints, innovative implementations, case studies, and best practices will be offered along with other technical and professional development sessions.
“If you are a technical leader in IT, or tasked with turning technology innovation into business value for your organization, DSI is the must-attend conference for you,” said David Dale, SNIA Chairman. “DSI identifies the latest IT and storage technology innovations, examines the challenges and opportunities you most frequently face, and offers practical solutions from leading vendors, consultants and innovative IT end-users. If your peers consider you a technical expert or IT trailblazer, you should not just attend, but also participate as a speaker. You-ll be in good company.”
Added Leo Leger, SNIA-s Executive Director, “Join us in Santa Clara, April 22-24 for this unique conference. We particularly welcome attendees, speakers, and sponsors accustomed to participating in traditional trade shows or vendor-owned events at this time of the year. DSI now offers a different, more intimate and tight knit, learning experience, featuring SNIA-s highly-rated, vendor-neutral Tutorial Program sessions.”
SNIA has designed a compelling agenda for storage practitioners (those sometimes referred to as engaged in storage -plumbing-), architects, sysadmins, and systems engineers. Vendors, resellers, end-users as well as systems integrators and technical/product consultants will be welcomed and find content assembled with them in mind.
