Bradford Networks Customer Las Virgenes Unified School District to Present on Their BYOD Project at CETPA Conference 2013

This case study session will share how LVUSD installed enterprise-level wireless for every classroom across 17 districts to enable secure (BYOD) and allow each of its 11,500 students and 1,000 staff members to connect to the schools- wireless network quickly, easily and safely.

In a district-wide initiative, LVUSD is utilizing technology to improve the way students learn, solve problems and think critically. As part of this initiative, LVUSD integrated a wide range of electronic resources into the classroom including the students- own mobile devices to enable BYOD for students and staff.

In this session, Scrivano will outline the steps LVUSD took to evaluate and implement a BYOD solution that combines a wireless network, cabling, content filtering and reporting, and NAC to ensure complete visibility and control of users and devices on the network. Scrivano will walk attendees through the process for developing a vendor-neutral RFP that is based on outcomes, installation, security, and user experience.
