PRIMAGAS has optimized its internal communication with a completely redesigned and visually appealing intranet based on CONTENS. The employees benefit from a flexible home page, customizable through widgets and modules with drag & drop, as well as from integrated mails, dates, and notes.
PRIMAGAS, one of Germany-s largest energy suppliers for private and business customers (www.primagas.de), has opted for a new intranet based on CONTENS to expand and improve internal communication.
Highlights include an integrated exchange interface, automatic authentication through single sign on and numerous widgets and modules for personalization. With the exchange interface, every user can see new mails and tasks as well as upcoming events on the intranet home page through Microsoft Outlook. The automatic authentication allows fast access to the intranet without extra registering.
Numerous modules are available for individual home page personalization such as a currency converter, a DAX chart, or a weather application. Additionally, widgets on the home page can present intranet content in a customized fashion. For example, threads can be subscribed by including a forum widget to show the thread-s newest posts on the home page. Widget and module containers, allow different elements to be individually placed on the personal home page via drag & drop.

In addition to the intranet and the website www.primagas.de, the company also runs other websites on CONTENS. The CMS can manage several websites in one installation which simplifies administration efforts considerably. With CONTENS, new websites, microsites, or target group portals can be created quickly and with very little effort. It is especially advantageous that content can be used multiple times on different websites and, if required, also in different layouts. Thanks to the user-friendly user interface, even less frequent users work fast and efficiently with CONTENS.
