CRESWICK, AUSTRALIA — (Marketwired) — 10/24/13 — Gartner has recognized Sparx Systems in its 2013 Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Architecture Tools for the fourth year running.
Magic Quadrant Reports, which examines the most influential vendors in specific technology markets, are used around the globe by corporate decision makers. Vendors like Sparx are selected for inclusion in Magic Quadrants if they are considered to be among the most important in particular market or best suited to meet client needs.
Gartner evaluates selected vendors for their “ability to execute” and “completeness of vision.” Sparx Systems is recognized by Gartner largely because of its flagship Enterprise Architect modeling software, and was placed in the “Niche” quadrant by Gartner analysts.
Sparx Systems COO Tom O-Reilly said he is not surprised that Gartner positioned Sparx in the “Niche” quadrant of its grid. “Although we compete well across the board, we offer some of our client groups feature sets that are unique in the marketplace,” he said. “For example – we provide enterprise architects the ability to trace project data through all their teams and through every department and to pull all of this together in real time for an integrated, enterprise-wide view.”
“None of our competitors offer that level of enterprise knowledge integration,” said O-Reilly. “Sparx tools are unmatched in their support for enterprise-wide organizational planning that automatically integrates tightly-managed business requirements, well-informed process, timely deployment, robust testing and thorough, accurate, up-to-date documentation.”
O-Reilly pointed out that, although Sparx does provide strong support to several technology niches, the company enjoys broad support across the entire marketplace for software. “We count more than three quarters of the Fortune 500 list as licensed clients,” he said. “And our growing client base is now more than 300,000.”
O-Reilly said Sparx Systems- mission has always been to “enable customers to unlock all the power of full-life-cycle modeling and design.”
“We-ve spent the past 15 years continuously innovating to bring that mission to life – to bring the best possible product to market,” he said. “Our user community tells us – and we hear this again and again – that Sparx has revolutionized their ability to bridge the internal gap between business and IT.
“They tell us our software has allowed them to take unprecedented control of planning and development and to make corporate decisions that fully integrate the wisdom of both the business leaders and the IT leaders.”
