The Bsquare OS Recovery Solution is an easy-to-use, turnkey operating system (OS) recovery tool that increases end user satisfaction through reduced down time while decreasing support costs.

The Bsquare OS Recovery Solution reduces costs by simplifying the recovery process in the event of an OS image corruption or fault and by allowing non-technical end users to easily recover a device OS in the field to its “factory-fresh” state through an intuitive user interface. This eliminates the need to dispatch a service technician or ship replacement hardware which can save hundreds of dollars per recovery event.
The OS Recovery Solution is a turnkey solution that requires no additional development. The product is available in two versions. The partition-based version configures the target system with an embedded recovery image on the system drive that the end user can deploy when needed. The external media-based version is available for systems that don-t support a hidden partition or for developers who want to manage the recovery image separate from the target system. Both versions support recovery of the full OS image and embedded applications for a true “factory-fresh” system recovery which is ideal for retail kiosks, intelligent vending machines, digital signage, and many other types of embedded systems.
