AUSTIN, TX — (Marketwired) — 10/01/13 — Accruent, the leader in real estate and facilities management solutions, is enlisting leaders from across the wireless industry ecosystem to finalize the design of its newest Siterra system version designed to support upcoming small cell roll-outs.
Siterra is the system of choice of major wireless carriers to manage their network lifecycle programs. With the advent of small cell technology, the whole wireless industry faces new challenges to revamp site management methodology and to manage and maintain a vastly expanded network infrastructure.
“Small cell deployments challenge all industry participants to collaborate in order to rethink best practices for effective project management,” said Laith Dahiyat, director of Siterra product management at Accruent. “That-s why we are involving and partnering with as many industry leaders as possible to make sure we have taken the needs of the entire wireless ecosystem into account. The PCIA conference this week provides the perfect opportunity to meet face-to-face, show how we have updated Siterra for small cell deployments, and get invaluable feedback.”
A major focus of the PCIA conference is preparation for the new small cell technology, which will increase wireless coverage and capacity in high density areas like hotels, airports, arenas, and stadiums.
The Accruent team has completely revised Siterra-s site management capability to reflect small cell-s multi-tier network structure. Siterra-s purpose-built project management capability, which enables carriers to coordinate hundreds of tower companies and service providers across tens of thousands of sites, has also undergone extensive enhancement in anticipation of the large ramp-up of small cell deployments in the coming years.
“We-ll be ready,” continued Dahiyat, “Siterra users will be able to manage their small cell deployments by the end of this year.”
With more than 40,000 users globally, Accruent-s Siterra product is the industry standard for managing wireless network projects — from new site builds to technology upgrades to day-to-day management. Accruent-s solutions, which are used by all five of the top three U.S. carriers, help manage more than one million global projects with an associated network investment of more than $25 billion. Siterra addresses the needs of Wireless Tower Companies, Infrastructure Service Providers, Wireless Carriers and Mobile Network Operators and helps link employees from different organizations in these industries to collaborate on projects.
The Siterra team will show its small cell capability at booth #301 at PCIA-s 2013 Wireless Infrastructure Show, October 7-10, 2013, at the Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa, Hollywood, Florida, and at a webcast from the show on October 8, 2013 at 5pm ET.
