As more candidates have come to rely on their smartphones and tablets to research open positions and learn more about prospective employers, more organizations are trying to develop or enhance their mobile recruiting strategies. Since 2011, MREC, the first mobile recruiting conference in North America, has provided a platform for mobile recruiting practitioners and industry experts to share their knowledge and showcase the latest in mobile innovation.
During the event, TMP Worldwide executives Kevin Regan and Mike Vangel will present the company-s thought leadership in mobile talent acquisition and highlight the success it brings to its clients in two informative sessions:
“Mobile SEO and Other Mysteries, Demystified”
The predominance of mobile search presents new challenges for search engine optimization, such as determining whether a site needs to be responsive or if it is still effective to have a separate mobile site. Other questions to ask are how mobile search affects organizations with a native app and no mobile-friendly web presence, and how do these issues impact perception of the employer brand? During this session, Kevin Regan, vice president of Digital Strategy for TMP Worldwide, will explain to attendees the components necessary to ensure their brand is represented sufficiently on search engines and beyond.
“UPS – Mobile Recruiting Case Study”
UPS recently sought to improve its social and mobile presence to create greater awareness of its employer brand, provide candidates with easy access via mobile to its many employment opportunities and ultimately drive hires in a cost-effective and targeted way. After partnering with TMP, UPS-s social and mobile recruiting channels accounted for more than 14,000 trackable hires for the company in 2012. In this session, Mike Vangel, vice president of Client Talent Acquisition Strategy for TMP Worldwide, along with Matt Lavery, managing director of Corporate Talent Acquisition for UPS, will tell the story of how the two companies worked together to optimize UPS-s strategy to accomplish these results and offset the declining flow from its traditional sources of hires.
Attendees of MREC 2013 who wish to learn more about the strategies and techniques that can enhance their mobile recruitment and SEO practices are encouraged to attend these informative sessions. Additional information about the conference, including registration details, can be accessed at: .
