Kratzer also says that the partners received practical as well as theoretical training. Her team organized technical workshops so that the project management specialists from several different countries could gain experience in working with TPG’s products. The main focus here was on TPG’s flagship solution TPG PSLink®. This product has been certified by SAP and is the world’s leading interface between Microsoft Project Server and SAP. It automatically synchronizes project-related data between the two systems in the background, eliminating the need for dual data management.
“We had very positive feedback on the training from the participants,” reports Kratzer. Along with the course’s sales and technical content and the social activities in Munich, she says the delegates were particularly impressed with the web-based partner portal. This is where partners can find all the product information they need, along with the training documentation. On TPG’s high-performance hosting servers, partners also have access to a virtual system environment that enables them to prepare and show their own product demonstrations to their customers.
“We’re planning to hold this partner meeting at least once a year,” notes Stefanie Kratzer. “And in the meantime we’ll use the partner portal to stay in close touch with our global partner network across 16 countries, including those who weren’t able to come to Munich this time.”
