SLIEDRECHT, THE NETHERLANDS — (Marketwired) — 09/16/13 —
, the global leader in software that supports business change, today announced that it has officially launched in the Australian market with the appointment of Peter Simons as Director of UNIT4 Business Software Pty Ltd in Australia and New Zealand (ANZ). Having previously operated in the Australian market through a number of specialist distributors for the past decade, UNIT4 will now seek to expand its local client base through a direct presence, initially by setting up a local head office in Sydney.
UNIT4 is a global cloud-focused, enterprise business software company aimed at helping dynamic public sector and commercial services organisations to embrace change simply, quickly and cost effectively. The company-s UNIT4 Agresso ERP suite and UNIT4 Coda Financials management solutions provide private and public sector organizations with the ability to change without the massive cost associated with traditional ERP applications.
Until now, UNIT4 has worked with the following specialist distributors to build and support its local customer base:
These partners will be key in taking UNIT4 solutions to market and providing services around them.
Peter Simons, who has over 15 years of experience in the local IT industry, will assume responsibility for overseeing UNIT4-s new operations in ANZ. Peter has been tasked with supporting the company-s aggressive growth plans for the ANZ region, which aligns with the company-s global cloud strategy to grow the business significantly over the coming years. Peter will be responsible for driving uptake of UNIT4-s solutions portfolio, including both the Agresso ERP suite and the Coda Financials management suite.
The new UNIT4 operation will continue to work extremely closely with its three existing distributors who have built up a customer base of more than 30 companies in the region including: the , , and .
“Our relationships with Agresso Pty Ltd, Connexxion and S1 Consulting are key to our success in the region and we are committed to supporting our existing customer base with the quality of service and solutions they expect from us and our partners. Our intention in opening our own office is to take greater advantage of the enormous potential in the Australian market and to continue to expand our reach to dynamic companies that are serious about embracing change and transforming their organization. As a direct team we will focus our efforts on driving increased uptake for our cloud solutions among organizations in the government, higher education, not-for-profit and commercial sectors,” explained Peter.
In addition to building a local team for UNIT4 Business Software Pty Ltd, Peter will also be tasked with expanding the company-s offering specifically in the area of shared services. Globally, UNIT4 has an exceptional track record of providing innovative solutions to large public and commercial enterprises that have, or are looking to establish, a shared services center.
“Large, monolithic systems are time-consuming to implement, hard to change and difficult to integrate with other applications, meaning that -Big ERP- is often not the right choice for organizations looking to obtain efficiency from a shared services environment. Setting up a shared services center can also be the ideal opportunity to move to a cloud environment, removing the IT headache and ensuring the solution and data are secure. As a nimble player in the ERP space, we believe we have an extremely strong proposition for Australian organizations that are serious about increasing efficiencies, reducing costs and standardizing processes across their entire business,” said Peter.
