Solarflare to Speak at 2013 High Performance Computing for Wall Street Conference

IRVINE, CA — (Marketwired) — 09/09/13 — , the leading provider of application-intelligent networking I/O, today announced Davor Frank, Senior Solutions Architect, will participate in a panel at the conference. This conference will explore how big data, cloud, data centers, networks, low latency, speed and virtualization impact the global financial markets.

During the panel session, Davor will highlight how high performance computing in global financial markets mandates that both speed and low latency must work in tandem. He will also discuss the challenge in the race to zero latency and how companies and enterprises must also balance cost-efficiencies, speed of installation and operation, and reduced head count in major firms.

In his presentation titled, “Performance for the Next Generation: Easier, Faster, More Flexible,” Davor will provide an overview of Solarflare-s latest server adapters and share performance data on the company-s Application OnLoad Engine (AOE), an open platform that utilizes applications developed by Solarflare. Greg Rodgers, Principal Member Technical Staff at AMD, Inc. and Nick Finamore, Market Development Manager of the Computer & Storage Business Unit at Altera, will also participate in this panel.

Davor Frank is a senior solutions architect at Solarflare Communications. Having joined in October of 2011, he brings to Solarflare over a decade of experience in Investment Banking technology. Davor is currently responsible for application and systems consulting, providing architecture guidance to customers looking to implement Solarflare technologies in their low latency trading infrastructure. Previously, Davor had worked as a systems engineer at Deutsche Bank, more recently focusing on design, implementation and operational support of ultra-low latency systems.
