In mid-August, Message Systems was announced as number 3194 on the Inc. 5000 list of America-s fastest-growing companies, and earlier in the month the company-s Momentum+ digital messaging platform received a Silver Stevie International Business Award in the category of Best New Product – B2B. The Inc. awards also placed Message Systems as number 83 of the Top 100 Telecommunications Companies, number 92 among Top 100 Maryland Companies and number 43 in the Baltimore Metro Area. Additionally, an independent follow-up assessment of the Inc. awards by online publication Email Expert named Message Systems to its list of America-s 10+ Fastest Growing Email Companies.

The Inc. 5000 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth from 2009 through 2012. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2009. Additionally, a company must have been U.S.-based, privately held, for profit and independent. Revenue in 2009 must have been at least $100,000 with revenue of at least $2 million in 2012. The Stevie Awards were created to honor and generate public recognition of the achievements and positive contributions of organizations and working people worldwide. Individual criteria differ by category, but the emphasis is on the overall quality of the entry. The name Stevie is taken from the name Stephen, which is derived from the Greek for “crowned.”
