ATLANTA, GA — (Marketwired) — 07/22/13 — , a global integration and data management company, today announced a series of significant enhancements to its flagship solutions for data integration and transformation. Liaison-s ongoing investments in its ®, and (ECS) solutions are purpose-built to deliver leading edge flexibility and scalability from A2A to B2B. Key upgrades include Global Data Maps that allow Integration platforms greater flexibility for metadata within the transformation layer; a new virtualized FTP Mailbox Server that delivers a complete Managed File Transfer (MFT) solution to host client data; and JSON mapping support in Delta, allowing for flexible mapping support in both REST-based as well as SOAP-based web services.
“During 2013, B2B traffic will have increased tenfold over the last five years; and by 2016, 50% of new integration projects will involve on-premises applications, e-commerce trading partners and cloud services. Factors include increasing process automation, process complexity, demand forecasting and e-invoicing, and widespread expansion of B2B activity to support increased multienterprise process automation in industries such as financial services, healthcare and biotechnology. All this will involve more connections, protocols and data to translate and support managed file transfers (MFTs),” noted Benoit J. Lheureux, Research Vice President, et al, in a Gartner report released June 20, 2013, titled .
Contivo-s new global data maps and improved Map Intuition provides iterative integration, offering increased productivity, flexibility, and consistency. These enhancements are designed to reduce effort by 40 percent on the first project, and by 70 percent in maintenance over time. The further integration of Contivo with ECS allows enterprises to auto-select the appropriate Contivo map.
New functionality and integration between Delta and ECS deliver significant efficiencies. When coupled with ECS support of HTTP communication, new native support for JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) within Delta allows for support of RESTful services based upon JSON data format, the de-facto data standard for lightweight services, including social media and API-based services. Native function in Delta can also now be used to trigger ECS OpenAPI calls.
“Enterprises are looking for highly scalable, flexible offerings that enable seamless communication across diverse on-premise and cloud applications, increasing productivity and minimizing disruption,” said Rob Fox, VP of Application Development at Liaison Technologies. “With the latest enhancements to Contivo, Delta, and ECS, we-re working to keep our midmarket and enterprise customers ahead of the curve with new functionality and interoperability that supports a range of environments including A2A and B2B.”

Contivo enables users to capture, manage, organize and leverage all of the integration metadata in an enterprise. By associating the metadata with a semantic “dictionary,” Contivo establishes an integration vocabulary and thesaurus. Contivo then leverages the vocabulary and thesaurus to automate data transformation and reconciliation tasks that are traditionally implemented using manual mapping techniques. ECS provides a powerful integration tool for all types of enterprise application integration projects, whether data is derived from EDI, XML, legacy applications or enterprise-wide distributed database systems. With support for a wide variety of data transfer protocols and standards, ECS moves transactional as well as real-time data across the enterprise and trading partner community, seamlessly connecting companies with customers, suppliers and back-end systems with minimal effort in one cohesive operation. While ECS can be used on its own, it is often paired with Liaison-s Delta data translator to provide complete enterprise application and business-to-business integration that lets organizations integrate between applications, implement Web services, and easily manage the communications and mapping components of all solutions in service.
