NORTON, MA — (Marketwired) — 07/18/13 — CPS Technologies Corp. (OTCQB: CPSH) today announced that the United States Patent and Trademark office has issued U.S. Patent 8,464,626. This patent, titled “Multi-Layer Metal Matrix Composite Armor with Edge Protection,” builds on three prior CPS armor patents and describes additional novel features such as integrating an array of ceramic tiles directly into CPS HybridTech ArmorĀ® structures that contains an outer periphery of various material layers to enhance energy absorption and containment. This is the fourth patent issued to CPS related to its unique system for ballistic and blast protection, and the Company has additional patents pending in this area.
