SAN FRANCISCO, CA — (Marketwired) — 07/09/13 — TokBox, a Telefónica Digital company, today announced the appointment of Scott Lomond to lead marketing of TokBox-s industry-leading OpenTok Video Platform. Lomond joins TokBox as Vice President, Marketing from his previous role as Vice President and General Manager of Cloud Services for LifeSize Communications, a division of Logitech. He will lead the development of TokBox-s position as the leading platform for the creation and management of real-time communication applications, in particular around WebRTC, and the go-to-market strategies for vertical market solutions such as OpenTok for Customer Service.
At LifeSize Lomond was responsible for the development and launch of the industry-first hosted video collaboration program, LifeSize Connections. He became a part of Logitech when the company acquired SightSpeed, where he led the software engineering, web development, support teams and operations of the award-winning SightSpeed Video Messenger service. The same team also developed and operated the Dell Video Chat service for Dell consumer notebooks.

Lomond holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Dayton, and an MBA from the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University.
