Transformations have never been simpler: the user needs only to place input and output documents, and create a mapping. To convert between non-XML formats and XML, xsl:easy 4.0 provides a range of input and output adapters. Once the pipeline is complete, it can be immediately executed. A color system indicates the pipeline status, and a preview of the results is available. Errors can be quickly located and resolved.
For example, the user needs to pull certain data (e.g. product information) from an excel sheet and incorporate it into a HTML webpage. The excel sheet is selected and dragged into the Input document slot in the pipeline. The HTML file is dropped into the Output document slot. The user then selects the adapters necessary to transform the tabular information into XML, in this case the ‘CSV to XML’ adapter, and drops it into the Input adapter slot. Finally the user can select an existing mapping, or create a new one graphically. Finished!
With the integrated XSD editor, XML schema documents can also be created visually to define structuring rules for the processed XML documents.
The pipeline can even be exported as an executable stand-alone application to process data dynamically. A stand-alone application contains all pipelines with input and output adapters and mappings, and can either be integrated into separate Java applications or used to start transformations from the command line.
Editing and transforming XML data has never been easier!
