“Customers around the world will benefit from our collaboration with NetApp,” said Irina Parepa, Director of Marketing at fluid Operations. “The tight integration between the eCloudManager and NetApp storage systems enables enterprises to leverage their entire IT stack and consume mission-critical enterprise applications as on-demand standardized services.”
The fluidOps and NetApp® combined solution helps customers automate their data centers – from the infrastructure layer up to the enterprise application layer. This allows companies to bring their enterprise applications to the cloud and deliver them to end users as Landscape as a Service– within minutes and ready to run. The simplified process of provisioning enterprise applications, e.g. SAP, Oracle, Microsoft, etc., is achieved by leveraging advanced storage features and by using a wizard-based interface in a self-service portal.
With the eCloudManager’s semantic data integration and NetApp’s high-performance unified storage, customers can achieve a higher level of scalability and utilize their resources more efficiently. The eCloudManager monitors a customer’s complete data center or several geographically distributed data centers, and collects and correlates information from various resources, allowing customers to benefit from a very granular pay-per-use billing model for all consumed resources (storage, compute, application, etc.).
Earlier this year fluidOps was selected by Gartner as a “Cool Vendor in the SAP Ecosystem.” After many other innovations throughout the year, fluid Operations announced on November 29th a major release, eCloudManager 3.5. Support for Cisco UCS blades, eCloudManager Intelligence Edition for private beta customers, and advanced self-services are just a few of the new features included in the eCloudManager 3.5 release.
“NetApp unified storage systems help customers reduce the management complexity and increase the flexibility of their IT infrastructures,” said Patrick Rogers, vice president of Alliance and Solutions at NetApp. “By joining the NetApp Alliance Partner Program, fluid Operations provides our mutual customers with cost-effective solutions that can help reduce the complexity of their storage environments.”
