Heraeus Recycling Technology Taicang Co., Ltd. (HRTT) in China was certified at the beginning of November according to the internationally accredited standard ISO 9001:2008. The auditors in the independent review commission from the General Surveillance Society carried out the certification and attested that Heraeus fully complies with all requirements in the corresponding fields of activity as stipulated in the technical standard.
The certification was successful in the very first year of the new company”s existence which clearly shows that HRTT is continually striving to reach its goal in further improving its customer services, quality and resource management. The certification is firmly anchored as an element of the HRTT corporate policy, and it is to be reviewed on a regular basis.
Jose Manuel Romero, Vice President Operations at HRTT, expanded on this by explaining, “In China too, the Heraeus plant adheres to international quality standards. Moreover, an increasing number of companies view a certification in line with ISO 9001:2008 as a prerequisite for a close cooperation with their partner and suppliers. In order to comply, we have made a great effort to adequately prepare for the certification, and we are extremely proud of the tremendous progress made in the area of Quality Management. The fast implementation was possible thanks primarily to the support given by the Quality Management department at Heraeus Materials Technology Shanghai Ltd. (HMTS) in Shanghai”.
For the past 12 months the Recycling Division at HRTT has been recycling catalysts containing precious metals from the pharmaceutical and chemical industries, and thus making a sustainable investment towards expanding the business in China..
