Acer America today announced that its new Veriton P Series workstations are available for commercial customers in the United States. Built for designers, engineers and research professionals, these workstations deliver maximum computing and 3D graphics power in a robust design capable of running 24/7. Enterprise-level expandability and redundancy allow users to tackle even the largest projects with confidence.
Engineered for large workloads and data sets, the Veriton P Series workstations provide the multi-core power, graphics performance and rock solid stability required for advanced applications such as 3D animation, CAD and digital imaging. They-re offered in many configurations to suit the gamut of computing and rendering needs and assembled in North America to shorten lead times.
“Our wide range of high-performance workstations deliver significant performance advantages for even the most demanding applications and usage scenarios,” said Michael O-Beirne, Acer senior director, commercial product marketing. “We-re confident today-s serious commercial users will appreciate our flexible operating strategy with component options that enable IT professionals to optimize resources by being able to purchase exactly what they need. We-re also pleased to provide them superior technical service via our North American call centers.”
Acer Veriton workstations deliver enterprise-class performance with built-in RAID technologies to ensure uptime and the capacity to install up to four hard drives. By pairing server-level components with enterprise-grade 3D rendering hardware, Acer workstations can outperform PCs. Capable of scaling to meet various needs, they-re an optimal platform for a wide range of usage scenarios and industries.
The Veriton P Series workstations are available with a variety of NVIDIA-s professional 3D and 2D graphics cards as well as Tesla K20c® graphics. The NVIDIA® Quadro® graphics were designed specifically for professional workstations and provide optimized, highly reliable 3D rendering for handling even the most intensive graphics demands. These powerful graphics cards fuel more than 200 professional applications across a broad range of industries from manufacturing and sciences to energy and media. The NVIDIA® NVS graphics are an excellent choice for users wanting 2D performance and multi-display support. These graphics solutions are ideal for digital signage, call centers, financial analysis and more. NVIDIA® Tesla® K20c graphics with 2496 CUDA cores provide 1.17 Tflops(1) of computing power, bringing supercomputer performance to a workstation. Powered by CUDA, a leading parallel-computing model, Tesla GPU accelerators deliver cluster-level performance.
The workstations also boast 80 PLUS® Gold power supplies, which provide more than 80 percent energy efficiency at 20-, 50- and 100-percent rated loads.
