THOUSAND OAKS, CA — (Marketwired) — 06/04/13 — Xirrus, the leader in high-performance wireless networks, today announced the appointment of Cary Kosher as vice president of sales for the Americas. Most recently as vice president of sales at Aerohive Networks, Kosher contributed to bookings growth from $1 million per quarter to an annual run rate of $100 million and developed the Aerohive Partner Program. Kosher-s 20+ year technology career also includes senior-level positions at Atrato Networks, Cisco Systems (Airespace), Napera Networks, Polivec, and WatchGuard Technologies.
“Bringing Cary Kosher-s widely respected sales experience and leadership to Xirrus adds tremendous value to our company, our partners, and ultimately our customers,” noted Shane Buckley, Xirrus CEO. “Cary has a strong track record of global sales management and execution — driving market-leading growth and category leadership. We are privileged to attract such an accomplished executive with an exemplary pedigree, and look forward to Cary bolstering our presence in existing markets and developing new opportunities around the globe.”
Kosher-s career in networking technology began with WatchGuard Technologies as the senior vice president of sales, where he doubled the number of customers and revenue per customer. As part of the original management team, Kosher-s contributions ultimately resulted in WatchGuard-s $3 billion valuation. Kosher then brought his successful growth strategy to Polivec in 2002: in the initial quarter, he grew bookings and pipeline by 100 percent. The following year, Kosher joined Cisco (Airespace) as the regional manager for the Western United States and Canada, where he was responsible for $128 million in sales, and 95 percent year-over-year growth.
Kosher left Cisco in 2008 to become the tenth employee of Napera Networks, achieving a $2 million run rate in nine months. Before joining Aerohive, he served as the vice president of strategic accounts at Atrato, leading business development strategy, activities, and relationships with global partners, including IBM, Microsoft and AT&T. Finally, at Aerohive, Kosher achieved over 100 percent bookings growth year-over-year, exceeded revenue goals 12 out of 14 quarters, and held a 70 percent win rate over competitors Cisco and Aruba. Kosher-s go-to-market strategy aligned marketing, business development, support, engineering, and product management.
“It-s been a challenge competing against Xirrus the last few years as everyone in the industry knows, Xirrus has the best product on the market,” said Kosher. “I am honored to join such an accomplished executive team and a company with a huge upside. Xirrus is poised for great growth across several vertical markets and geographies. I plan on leading the Americas sales force to great success and shaping the future of this company.”
