The $10,000 Uniserve Challenge To Support Family Services of the North Shore

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA — (Marketwired) — 06/03/13 — Uniserve Communications (TSX VENTURE: USS) is proud to announce we are partnering with Family Services of the North Shore in an exciting fundraising campaign. We will be raising money for children affected by abuse. By coming together, we are hoping to raise $10,000 in 10 Days to support 10 Children who are victims of abuse. Uniserve will proudly match all contributions dollar for dollar. That means Uniserve will match the $10,000 raised to ensure an additional 10 children receive the help they need.

Family Services of the North Shore is a nonprofit organization that has been serving the community for over sixty years. They serve the City and District of North Vancouver, the District of West Vancouver, Lions Bay and Bowen Island. Their annual budget is now close to $3.7 million, of which $1.3 million is fundraised. Without generous donations, their life-saving work would not be possible. They annually provide education, support and counseling for close to 6,500 victims of abuse, many of them children. We all understand that child abuse is not fair or right. Sadly, statistics show that 35% of girls and 16% of boys between grades 7 and 12 have been sexually abused. Many children living in abusive situations do not know how to ask for help. And often times these children feel they are at fault. We need to let children know they are not alone and they are not to blame. At Uniserve, many of our employees are family people with children of their own. That is why we are doing our part to ensure children in our community get the help and love all children are worthy of.

We cannot do this alone. Family Services of the North Shore and Uniserve Communications need your help. Help us fundraise $10,000 in 10 Days to support 10 Children who are victims of abuse. Again, Uniserve will be generously matching all donations dollar for dollar. Please open your heart and wallet to help children and families escape the cycle of abuse.
