For Salamander, putting the mixing facility in Poland into operation is a special occasion, because it not only represents the expansion of previous activities at the location, but is also a further milestone for the consistent growth strategy and targeted development of the entire SIP Group. The new mixing facility has had a positive effect on the regional job market at the Poland location, since 10 new jobs were created when operations began.
The mixing facility of the Brügmann S.A. was erected on an area totalling 800 m² with funding from the European Fund for Regional Development. The most innovative technology has been implemented in the new facility. Production will already start in October 2010 and will not only supply Brügmann S.A. but will also function as a hub for supplying the rest of Salamander-s eastern operations. Both locations will be served with mixtures of hard PVC with additives, which are required as raw material for the production of PVC window and door profiles.
PVC profiles of the Brügmann system have been distributed from the Poland location since 1990. In 1998, production was started at the Wloclawek plant. With 13 modern extruders and 4 laminating facilities, Brügmann S.A. manufactures PVC profiles for windows and doors on an area totalling 15000 m². SIP currently employs 213 workers at the Wloclawek location.
