McKenna delivered his lesson on April 24 to students enrolled in the WSBDC-s “Strategic Business Planning” course alongside the course-s instructor Lawrence Gelburd, experienced entrepreneur and member of the AOL Small Business Board of Directors.
The lecture, part of the third step in the WSBDC-s Business Building Program Workshop, provided students with six lessons on how to be a successful entrepreneur, drawing from McKenna-s own entrepreneurial experience. In 2003, McKenna cofounded DMi Partners, which has since generated over $30 MM in revenue. He has been officially recognized twice for his young entrepreneurship, in 2010 by the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce-s Annual Excellence Awards and in 2012 by SmartCEO-s Philadelphia Circle of Excellence awards.
