CALGARY, ALBERTA and ZURICH, SWITZERLAND — (Marketwired) — 04/23/13 — Acceleware Ltd. (TSX VENTURE: AXE) today announced that SCANCO Medical AG, Zurich, Switzerland has agreed to acquire a perpetual, non-exclusive license for Acceleware-s AxRecon source code. AxRecon is an advanced GPU solution for accelerated image reconstruction on Computed Tomography (CT) scanners. Under the license acquisition terms, SCANCO will become the exclusive provider of AxRecon to the medical imaging market. SCANCO intends to continue advancing the product and expand its availability to a wider range of CT scanners.
