Lippis III, and open technology advocate and Information Systems professor J.P. Allen, as founding members of the Pertino Advisory Council (PAC). The new PAC board of advisors will help inform and guide Pertino in executing its SDN cloud platform vision and becoming a catalyst for democratizing IT for small and medium businesses (SMBs) worldwide.
The addition of renowned SDN and open technology luminaries as advisors to its PAC program is the latest sign of momentum from Pertino. In the first quarter of 2013, the company launched limited availability of the Pertino cloud network engine and closed $20 million in Series B funding.

Guru Parulkar is the executive director of the Open Networking Laboratory (ON.lab) and is a consulting professor and executive director of the Open Network Resource Center (ONRC) at the Stanford University School of Engineering. He has over 25 years of networking-related experience, including academic work at Washington University in St. Louis prior to Stanford, and private sector experience at several startups, Cisco, and the National Science Foundation. While at Stanford, Guru helped create three seminal programs: SDN and OpenFlow, Programmable Open Mobile Internet (POMI) 2020, and the Stanford Experimental Data Center Laboratory (SEDL).

He currently serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Information Technology and the International Journal of Electronic Commerce.
