(arvato Systems) Gütersloh, Germany — Already in the tenth year of existence, the international industry conference ‘Publishers’ Forum’ will be opening its doors on 22 and 23 April, this time with arvato Systems as cooperating partner. This two-day event, taking place at the Hotel Concorde in Berlin, will consist of an extensive program of lectures, workshops, and seminars led by leading experts from the media industry.
The Publishers’ Forum offers an agenda that is ambitious in terms of both scope and quality. An estimated 320 participants will be able to choose from a range of subjects such as ‘thinking beyond the book,’ ‘networked publishing,’ ‘metadata,’ ‘digital first,’ and ‘cloud computing.’ A new addition for 2013 is the English-language program, which will be offered alongside the usual German event.
Acclaimed international speakers will be participating in the two-day conference. The German-language TV network 3sat will also report on the event in its show ‘Kulturzeit.’
Over the last ten years the conference has gone from strength to strength to become what is now an internationally renowned event for the entire media industry. The entire industry is in attendance at the forum, with participants from the literary, specialist, and journalism branches of publishing, libraries, the film and music industry, as well as academics, strategy consultants, and Internet agencies.
