LIVERMORE, CA — (Marketwired) — 04/08/13 — TriPower, a leading providing antenna network solutions and technical services, will be conducting training sessions during the training and certification initiative taking place April 8-12, 2013 in Atlanta, GA. The initiative will provide a foundation of knowledge to the in-building radio frequency (RF) engineering and project management communities.
The success and feedback from the first CIBET Initiative in September of 2012 in Denver, has resulted in an expansion of the basic curriculum. In addition to the basic RF track, an advanced RF track and basic project management track have been added. Over 30 lectures, a small cell debate, over a dozen hands on lab tasks and a DAS design competition will be part of the event. Join the dozens of service providers, equipment manufacturers and systems integrators learning how to create better in-building solutions.
On Tuesday, April 9, 2013 TriPower will be presenting the sessions on Service Provider DAS and WiFi Hybrid Environments and Adding Public Safety to the Solution which includes information on:
Challenges when adding WiFi requirements to an indoor DAS deployment
Define offload and need for offload; explain dimensioning for offload
Explain spectral planning for WiFi
Overview & challenges when adding public safety requirements to an in-door DAS deployment
Public safety bands of operation and interference management
How public safety legacy and future needs could be technically combined into a single integrated system
About the Presenter: Gregory Glenn, an APCO International member, has more than 32 years of RF system design experience and has been involved in in-building signal enhancement since the late 1980s. Specializing in interference and intermodulation detection and elimination as well as in-building and macro system design for public safety, Gregory also holds a patent for work accomplished in gathering data in a mobile RF environment, General Class RadioTelephone license, as well as an amateur extra license.
