PROVIDENCE, RI — (Marketwire) — 03/21/13 — GreenBytes®, Inc., a developer of full-featured virtual desktop solutions that uniquely support existing infrastructure, today named Chris Maher as the company-s Chief Operating Officer. Maher joins GreenBytes from Flexera Software, a provider of application usage management solutions, where he drove over $30M in revenue. In his new role, Maher will be responsible for the global operations of GreenBytes, including the 24x7x365 customer service center, manufacturing team and global logistics team.
Maher brings more than a decade of progressive experience building and leading professional and customer services teams for software startups in the virtualization industry. Prior to Flexera Software, Maher worked at Neocleus, a client hypervisor provider (acquired by Intel), where he built the Support and Services organization from the ground up. Prior to this role, Chris worked as a Practice Manager in the Virtualization Global Practice at Microsoft, and previously served as the Engagement Director at Softricity, an application virtualization pioneer (acquired by Microsoft).

Chris Maher holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a MS in Electrical Engineering from Kettering University. Maher will be based at GreenBytes corporate headquarters in Providence, R.I. and will assume his position immediately.
