MADRID, SPAIN and SEOUL, KOREA — (Marketwire) — 03/14/13 — Celebrated digital content publisher NARR8 has announced the launch of the Korean and Spanish-language versions of its mobile application at the press conferences in Seoul and Madrid. The NARR8 application is a free-to-download, free-to-use digital content channel that offers an extensive library of innovative and exciting multimedia content in the form of motion comics, interactive eBooks, and edutainment (educational entertainment). The content is serialized and released bi-weekly in episodic format, with a new episode available in the app every day of the week.
NARR8 creates an interactive experience by means of smooth animation that brings high-quality art to life. Bold special effects and full audio soundtracks are available with a single tap of the touch screen.
Korean is the first Asian language that NARR8 has tackled, and Korean and Spanish are the next languages in which NARR8 will appear since its initial launch in English and Russian in November 2012. NARR8-s localization team in Moscow, Russia, has worked to translate NARR8-s exciting content into these new languages over the course of three months. These new language versions will launch with six motion comics series comprising 35 episodes for Android tablet and smartphones as well as iPad mini and iPad users. The remainder of NARR8-s 11 series, which include interactive novels and nonfiction such as Fear Hunters, The Secret City, Paradigm, and Multiverse will be localized and available shortly thereafter.
These new developments are important milestones in NARR8-s continued expansion into new territories. According to founder Alexander Vashchenko, “The NARR8 team is very excited to offer a diverse range of high-quality content in the Korean and Spanish markets through the launch of NARR8-s new language versions, and we expect that our unique content and unparalleled user experience will generate strong interest and positive feedback in the near future. Korea has shown fast growth and remarkable success in the Internet and mobile industry, as Korean users tend to adopt new technologies and products actively and quickly. This is why NARR8 is launching a Korean version of the app as its first step into Asia to secure a strong position for advancing into other Asian countries. We also plan to expand further into Europe and other parts of the world, which is why we will also be expanding into Spanish-speaking markets such as Spain, Argentina, and Mexico… and into even more territories later this year.”
After NARR8-s initial iPad and iPad Mini launch on Nov. 14, 2012, the app secured the position of #1 Entertainment App in the Free Entertainment category, and #6 free iPad app in the Top Free Overall list.
NARR8 is free to download for iPad through the and for Android devices on .
