JACKSONVILLE, FL — (Marketwire) — 02/20/13 — The Nearshore Executive Alliance (NEA), the first organization seeking to promote the adoption of and enhance collaboration in the nearshore community, today announced that it has appointed Rebeca Hassan as executive director. In this role, Hassan will focus on providing a robust and meaningful experience to the organization-s membership base through value delivery, leadership and business development.
Until Hassan-s appointment, the NEA had been led by a board of executives across the nearshore industry. Comprised of solution providers, thought leaders and end users, the NEA-s collective goal has always been to further the message of nearshore by fostering collaboration between executives, sharing location intelligence and best practices and providing marketing support and media education to its member organizations.
As executive director, Hassan will help shape the overall strategic direction of the organization as well as lead communication with the NEA membership base. Through innovative programs and activities that include marketing support and lead generation, the NEA will aid in the development of business partnerships for its nearshore member organizations.
“Coming to the NEA from a global online technology and operations company, Rebeca is a natural fit for the organization,” said Mike Barrett, vice chairman of the NEA board. “Her past experience working with both BPO and ITO service providers will prove invaluable in understanding how our members think and what they need. The addition of Rebeca to our team will only help the NEA continue to provide the kind of resources and information that has otherwise been unavailable to nearshore providers as they seek to enter the U.S. market.”
Established in 2011, the Nearshore Executive Alliance (NEA) is comprised of a broad selection of industry leaders and business executives focused on the promotion of information technology outsourcing (ITO) and business process outsourcing (BPO) solution providers across the Americas. The NEA contributes to the nearshore industry by facilitating the collaboration of industry thought leaders, sharing intelligence about different locations and offering best practices.
