AVON, OH — (Marketwire) — 02/19/13 — Ease of use and flexibility are two important attributes resellers consider while deploying products and services for their customers. For more than 20 years, Panasonic-s business telephone systems have been the ideal product lines for Jenne reseller DLM Communications. Although the company has occasionally considered alternate choices, it has yet to find comparable telephony systems that provides the ease-of-use and future-proof capabilities DLM-s customers have come to expect.
DLM Communications is a 32-year-old reseller serving the Cincinnati area with a range of telephone systems, products and services. According to Donald Muirheid, vice president of sales and service at DLM Communications, the team has built the business on a service-based platform to effectively serve the SMB needs of the area. A family business with Vickie Lenhof-Muirheid leading the growing company as its president, DLM has expanded its customer base to more than 3,200 clients. Opting to take a “simple, complete approach to business,” DLM Communications provides custom-designed phone solutions to clients at a reasonable price with the high-quality service and support that clients might expect from a family-owned business.
One of the reasons for DLM-s unwavering loyalty to Panasonic is the flexibility its business telephone systems provide, as well as the expertise Jenne is able to provide in designing and deploying complete telecommunications solutions. Since DLM-s customer base is made up of small and medium businesses, it is critically important that solutions can be customized, modified and changed over time without requiring a complete overhaul — Panasonic and Jenne are able to deliver on this requirement.
“Panasonic business telephone systems have enabled us to move phones from older systems to newer systems, so my customers can retain and build on their initial investments,” Muirheid said. “The history I have with Panasonic has proven to me the reliability of their products, and Jenne technical representatives are always there when I need them.”
“We have customers that have systems that are over 20 years old and are still working; and they-re happy,” he continued. “Panasonic-s solution is unique in that it allows you to design and program a customized system for the particular business or industry that you-re selling into, making it very targeted.”
DLM Communications first turned to Jenne for its telephony needs in 1990 and has been a close business partner of the value added distributor ever since. Muirheid said he initially began using Jenne not only because of the breadth of its product portfolio but also because of Jenne-s reputation for excellent service and support. Since 1990, DLM Communications has purchased its Panasonic products exclusively through Jenne.
Over the years, DLM Communications has deployed more than 2,500 Panasonic business telephone systems. Changes in technology have made it incredibly easy to deploy and manage these solutions, and Muirheid says it is very important for him and his customers to be able to manage and move phones remotely. Muirheid says he also appreciates the ability to integrate cell phones into a system so callers can dial a single line and have it ring on multiple devices.
While customers may not be as tech-savvy as the DLM Communications team, it is of critical importance that the system and accompanying devices are easy to use. Additionally, the system itself is only as good as the training a customer receives, and Muirheid says. That-s why he sends his staff to Jenne, which delivers first-rate training through Jenne University. The system itself is simple and fast to get up and running, and its streamlined design makes it that much easier for customers to get up to speed quickly on the solution.
“Panasonic and Jenne have a lot of good common policies, good common support, good stock and good people to work with at both companies,” Muirheid said. “They are our number one product and number one distributor, and from what I can see in the far future, I don-t see that changing.”
