OTTAWA, ONTARIO — (Marketwire) — 01/22/13 — International Datacasting Corporation (TSX: IDC), a global leader in digital content distribution for the world-s premiere broadcasters, today announces a contract with a leading North American video content distributor, valued in excess of USD $600,000 for the expansion of their network.
This contract is for IDC-s SuperFlex Pro Data satellite receivers integrated with an IDC Centient head-end solution and a professional services contract. This comprehensive solution will enable IDC-s customer to optimize their provision of a centralized multi-platform content management and distribution solution for television networks, advertisers, and video content providers.
This prominent U.S. based video content distributor needed to reliably, securely, and cost effectively deliver file-based programming to a large and geographically dispersed network of remote sites. IDC-s integrated solution seamlessly interfaces with the customer-s file-based workflow to provide an efficient and secure delivery using DVB-S2 and other next generation technologies. IDC is an established leader in datacasting technologies, with over 150 data broadcast networks deployed since pioneering the DVB standard in 1997.
“IDC-s solution was selected because of its strong value proposition, a robust feature set at a very competitive price point, providing tremendous customer value,” stated Del Lippert, Interim CEO and Chairman. “Also, our highest standards of customer service on the initial deployment resulted in a satisfied customer ready to entrust us with this significant next phase of their business.”
This customer joins other leading U.S. video broadcasters who have repeatedly selected IDC-s technology platforms to support their expanding linear and file-based content distribution requirements.
