FireEye Launches Certified Service Provider Program to Expand Offerings

MILPITAS, CA — (Marketwire) — 12/12/12 — FireEye®, Inc., the leader in stopping advanced cyber attacks, today announced the FireEye Certified Service Provider (FCSP) program to expand its channel strategy and develop new markets. The FCSP program supports customers who leverage a service provider model and who have complex, hybrid environments, outsource IT, and limited resources to support sophisticated IT security infrastructures.

Companies benefit from having the unique, cutting edge protection that the FireEye Malware Protection System (MPS) provides. In addition they benefit from working with a Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) in order to minimize complexity, leverage malware expertise, and reduce costs associated with owning and managing their own IT infrastructures.

The range of services provided by MSSPs includes security alert monitoring, managed services such as maintaining hardware uptime and patch management, and integration into the service provider-s security operations center (SOC). Professional services for incident response and forensics are also available and are especially critical in the event of a breach.

Announced during Dell World 2012, Dell SecureWorks®, an industry leader in information security services, is the first MSSP in the FCSP program. This collaboration is a key addition to Dell SecureWorks- portfolio of security solutions. Customers of Dell SecureWorks that use FireEye will have greater visibility into the extent of previous network and system compromises and cyber attack tactics, as well as the ability to take action to address cyber attacks that might occur in the future.

“Malicious email and Web content are the top advanced threat attack vectors, and it is critical that organizations adopt advanced threat protection solutions in addition to other security layers,” said Jon Ramsey, chief technology officer (CTO) for Dell SecureWorks. “Dell SecureWorks is pleased to work with FireEye to bring our joint customers a solution that provides both technology and security expertise.”

“At a time when an increasing number of companies fall victim to cybercriminals targeting their corporate data, CEOs and CISOs must now invest in more comprehensive security solutions that address the rapidly evolving threat landscape,” said Ashar Aziz, founder, vice chairman, and CTO of FireEye. “The launch of the FireEye Certified Service Provider program — and our relationship with Dell SecureWorks — will give more companies even better access to the next-generation threat protection they need.”

FireEye strategically partners with world-class technology companies to deliver the FireEye MPS, securing critical data, intellectual property, and networks against advanced malware, zero-day, and targeted advanced persistent threat (APT) attacks. The FireEye Certified Service Provider program offers service providers the ability to deliver all FireEye solutions via a cloud system or as on-premise technology. FireEye also provides partners with the tools and resources needed to further expand and support their security businesses and expertise.

FireEye is the leader in , such as zero-day and APT attacks, that bypass traditional defenses and compromise over 95% of networks. The supplements signature-based firewalls, IPS, anti-virus, and gateways, and provides the world-s only cross-enterprise, signature-less protection against Web and email threat vectors as well as malware resident on file shares.
