The solution of QSC provides a SIP-based point-to-point connection, IXI-UMS directly communicates with the SIP-trunk via IXI-UMS VoIPconnect. That way, companies can use any number of unified messaging extensions also when IXI-UMS is deployed via IP.
The Olching-based software provider serVonic, leading producer in the fields of Unified Communication, has tested “QSC IPfonie extended” in detail. “We tested the unified messaging features Fax and Voice inbound and outbound as well as the remote inquiry with the QSC SIP-trunk,” says Jochen Klein, CEO at serVonic GmbH. “Everything worked fine right from the start, so we released “IPfonie extended” for our IXI-UMS software.”
“The testing of “QSC IPfonie extended” with IXI-UMS has been very successful,“ Federal Alkan, Senior Expert – Partner Development at QSC AG, confirms. “The certification of serVonic’s solution on our part thus was beyond question.“
With “QSC IPfonie extended”, companies are flexible: They can order exactly the number of channels needed from their carrier. An available SIP-trunk can also be extended. When a company, for example, uses Microsoft Lync Server 2010 directly at the SIP-trunk “QSC IPfonie extended link“ specifically developed for this, extension numbers for IXI-UMS can be rerouted to a second SIP-trunk, in this case “QSC IPfonie extended”.
