VICTORIA, BRITISH COLUMBIA and MANCHESTER, NEW HAMPSHIRE — (Marketwire) — 12/11/12 — (EURONEXT AMSTERDAM: UNIT4), the North American subsidiary of UNIT4, a global enterprise software provider for Businesses Living IN Change (BLINC), announced that Ottawa Community Housing (OCH) has selected the company-s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution. The $900K+ agreement will help OCH future proof its operations for continuous business change pressures, thereby improving both its effectiveness and accountability. The deciding factors in its selection were strong customer references, Agresso-s ability to integrate seamlessly with front-office systems, and its ability to help OCH respond to ongoing business changes at minimal expense and disruption.
OCH is the largest social housing provider in Ottawa, and the second largest in Ontario. It provides almost 15,000 homes for about 32,000 seniors, parents, children, singles and persons with special needs. “It was growing increasingly problematic to get timely, accurate and reliable information out of our old system and it was difficult to initiate new business activities as our systems couldn-t support business change which is a constant for us,” states Jo-Anne Poirier, Chief Executive Officer of OCH. “With Agresso, we will be able to make better operational decisions and expand and improve our level of service, making a real difference to our tenants,” she adds.
Agresso will interface with OCH-s tenant, property and asset management solution from Northgate Software to provide seamless access to information. UNIT4 and Northgate have a history of successful integrations in the UK and enjoy a close working relationship.
“Agresso is an ideal fit for housing authorities that face frequent, ongoing business change,” observes Shelley Zapp, president of UNIT4 Business Software. “Like other non-profits, their reporting obligations to funders often change and they must demonstrate clear accountability; similarly, like many public sector organizations, they need to reorganize or change business processes as circumstances change, to ensure the most efficient delivery of service. Agresso allows housing authorities to manage these changes themselves without involving costly external consultants,” she adds.
