AUSTIN, TX — (Marketwire) — 11/27/12 — BOXX Technologies, the leading innovator of high-performance workstations and rendering systems, today announced that the new 3DBOXX 8950 workstation will debut at the BOXX booth #826 at Autodesk University 2012 in Las Vegas, NV. Held at Mandalay Bay Nov. 27-29, the annual conference and exhibition welcomes design professionals from around the world to attend classes, keynotes, product demonstrations, exhibits, and networking events. The booth will also showcase demonstrations of other BOXX systems hosted by visualization experts from Autodesk, Chaos Group V-Ray, and Chipman Design Architecture.
“BOXX is committed to providing the world-s fastest and most reliable solutions — and the latest information,” said Shoaib Mohammad, BOXX VP of Marketing and Business Development. “At AU 2012, we-re not only offering users of 3ds Max, Maya, Revit, and V-Ray the opportunity to experience how those applications are supposed to run, we-re also providing an environment where they can consult with leading experts.”
Featuring a new chassis, dual Intel® Xeon® E5-2600 series processors, and up to sixteen processing cores, the liquid-cooled 3DBOXX 8950 also includes up to four dual-slot add-in graphics, coprocessor, or accelerator cards (NVIDIA® Maximus technology) plus an additional three PCI-E slots. The demo system at AU Las Vegas will feature one NVIDIA Quadro graphics card along with four NVIDIA Tesla GPUs. All 3DBOXX 8950 workstations are optimized for advanced visualization, simulation, and computation.
Other BOXX demos will include the newly redesigned renderPRO, the world-s first personal, dedicated rendering solution for 3D graphics, animation and compositing. renderPRO will be joined by the world-s most powerful single processor workstation, 3DBOXX 4920 XTREME, featuring an overclocked six core, Intel® Core i7 processor (up to 4.5 GHz), liquid cooling, and up to four NVIDIA GPUs. 4920XT will be enlisted for Autodesk® Maya® and V-Ray® RT demos, while a 3DBOXX 4050 XTREME workstation (also 4.5 GHz) will be on hand to demonstrate Autodesk® 3ds Max®. The latest edition of the GoBOXX mobile workstation will support software demonstrations as well.
Many of the BOXX system demos will be conducted by guest experts Gary Davis (Autodesk 3ds Max), Craig Barr (Autodesk Maya), and Lon Grohs (Chaos Group V-RAY), as well as George Matos and Jennifer O-Conner of Chipman Design Architecture.
“BOXX understands what professionals need to create, test, and perfect their ideas,” said Jeff Brown, VP and General Manager of NVIDIA-s Professional Solutions Group. “Multiple NVIDIA GPUs and the integration of NVIDIA Maximus technology into the 3DBOXX 8950 and other BOXX workstations provide users with the best possible experience for complex simulations, rendering, and ray tracing.”
