The new version of IXI-PCS supports the Single Sign On method and is available as ready-to-use package for Linux desktops. Moreover, serVonic released its software for the use with Aastra PBX’s and networked Cisco PBX’s. Partner bar, group management, journal archiving and information about picked-up calls have been improved.
The Single Sign On (SSO) method for the Windows Client simplifies the authentication: Users now only have to authenticate initially at the operating system, the newly implemented SSO method just can take over this identification for IXI-PCS. For administrators as well as for users, the SSO method offers an uncomplicated yet secure method complying with the password policies, also in terms of a frequent change of passwords. The availability for Linux desktops as ready-to-use package allows deploying IXI-PCS with the current versions SuSe 12.1 and Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. Furthermore, the new version of serVonic’s software is released for Aastra PBX’s of the series OpenCom and supports networked PBX’s.
The partner bar in IXI-PCS 1.21 now can be docked either way per screen when using two screens at the desktop. In addition to that, the new version offers the users a better overview of numbers and assigned groups as well as improved journal archiving including deletion of old journals. In the journal and in the message in the inbox, the users now can see at a glance whether a call has been picked up and by whom.
