First delivery of eLux and Scout Enterprise to Japanese customer

The German company Unicon Software has achieved a major milestone in its global growth strategy. In October 2012, the first delivery of eLux and Scout Enterprise to a Japanese customer in the healthcare industry has been shipped. “This shipment marks an important event for Unicon and shows our customers’ trust in our solutions”, says Niels Keunecke, Managing Director at Unicon Software.

In Germany, Unicon Software already is the market leader for Thin Client software solutions. From now on Unicon takes the next step and offers its products eLux and Scout Enterprise on the Japanese market. Unicon enters this market together with its long-term OEM partner Fujitsu. According to IDC´s Japan Virtual Client Forecast 2012 – 2016, which was published in July 2012, the Japanese market is on growth track with large-scale projects for Desktop Virtualization.

“The demand for Desktop Virtualization and Cloud Computing is growing rapidly in Japan and Fujitsu is determined to be a strong, stable and attractive player in this market. Thin Clients still are the perfect access devices for cloud environments. Therefore, we are pleased to offer our customers eLux and Scout Enterprise as a reliable software solution for Thin Clients. The Japanese market entry of our partner Unicon is a clear win-win for our customers, for Fujitsu and for Unicon Software”, says Akira Nagahara, Senior Vice President of Personal Systems Business Unit, Fujitsu Ltd.
