Send a Free, Social Thanksgiving Message at TheThanksgiver.com

RALEIGH, NC — (Marketwire) — 11/19/12 — There-s the Easter Bunny, there-s Santa, but who speaks for Thanksgiving? Now the Thanksgiver does, and his messages of gratitude can be freely shared by any and all wishing to express their own expanded Thanksconsciousness, at thethanksgiver.com.

The social video site offers up the little-known story of the full-bladdered Pilgrim who stepped away from the first Thanksgiving and tumbled into a wormhole, never to be seen again. Until now, when he reappears to remind us all of just how much — beyond the predictable “food, family and deities,” that is — we can be thankful for.

The Pilgrim sits, head bowed, on Plymouth Rock. At each click, he looks up to suggest, in one of about a hundred quick (3 – 10 second) videos, yet one more perhaps overlooked blessing. Like, for example, Ernest Borgnine (“the cuddly sloth of the Hollywood kingdom”), or mosquitoes (“they keep us from having too much blood”), or the C.I.A. (“those dolphins aren-t going to weaponize themselves!”). Visitors can accept any of the Thanksgiver-s suggestions, which will automatically place that thankful message on the visitors- own Facebook page.

The Thanksgiver.com will be announced via paid Facebook advertising, social media and email blasts. Nothing is offered for sale and the site-s sponsor, advertising agency , Raleigh, is not promoted in any way, or even mentioned, except on an obscure credits page, along with its creative collaborators, digital studio , Raleigh, music company , New York, and production company , Los Angeles.

Baldwin& principal and “lead guitar” David Baldwin says the project came out of “an overflowing sense of gratitude this year, for clients*, for staff, and for some shiny new creative awards. And,”¿he adds, “because all the other good holidays were taken.”

* Burt-s Bees and güd, BMW¿Golf, Peter Millar, The Umstead Hotel and Apex Tools.
