SAN JOSE, CA — (Marketwire) — 10/18/12 — OCZ Technology Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: OCZ), a leading provider of high-performance solid-state drives (SSDs) for computing devices and systems, will display its enterprise storage solutions at the Gartner Symposium/ITXpo, Booth #1044, Walt Disney World Dolphin Resort, Lake Buena Vista, Florida, from October 21st through October 25th. The Gartner Symposium/ITXpo is an annual gathering of CIOs and senior IT executives seeking the latest tools, technologies, and information to improve IT capabilities and data center effectiveness.
For SAN acceleration of I/O intensive workloads, OCZ will present its leading Z-Drive R4 PCIe SSDs supporting both full-height (FH) and half-height (HH) configurations, enabling the CPU with direct access (zero-latency storage) and instant boot capabilities. The FH (3/4 length) RM88 model enables an industry best 2.8GB/s of sequential throughput, 410K of random IOPS performance, and usable MLC NAND flash capacities from 800GB to 3.2TB. The HH (half-length) RM84 model is also a performance leader enabling 2GB/s of sequential throughput, 250K of random IOPS performance and usable capacities from 300GB to 1.2TB.
To enable the Z-Drive R4 PCIe SSD series with fast caching and virtualization, OCZ will present its feature rich VXL software. The VXL/Z-Drive R4 PCIe SSD combined solution distributes flash caching resources on-demand across virtual machines (VMs) to maximize application performance, and does this based on need, making sure that no VM inefficiently occupies flash when it can better used elsewhere in the environment. This ensures that the flash cache is optimally utilized at all times regardless of how many VMs are running concurrently. With new capabilities, the Z-Drive R4-s flash volumes can be virtualized to enable VXL software to perform such advanced services as synchronous mirroring for High Availability (HA) and Fault Tolerance (FT).
For HDD replacement in storage arrays and appliances, OCZ will also present its SATA III-based Deneva 2 SSD and its SAS-based Talos 2 SSD. Both enterprise-class SSDs provide industry-leading sequential throughput, IOPS performance, instant boot-up, and a complete arsenal of enterprise-class endurance and reliability tools to protect data and enhance drive life.
With the impending release of its Everest 2 platform-based Intrepid 3 SATA III SSD series before year-end, OCZ presents a product optimized to deliver industry leading transactional performance. Supporting a high sequential bandwidth and excellent random I/O performance, the Intrepid 3 SSD series will significantly improve data access and server application performance.
OCZ continues to deliver the industry-s leading enterprise-class solid-state solutions with leading edge performance, increased drive/media endurance and data reliability/integrity, unparalleled security and reduced total cost of ownership (TCO) for large scale data centers and IT infrastructures worldwide. Join OCZ Technology at this week-s Gartner Symposium/ITXpo 2012 to see the latest drives and software solutions designed for enterprise server and storage customers.
