(arvato Systems) Gütersloh, Germany – Pierre Audoin Consultants (PAC) has just published its study ‘In-Memory Data Analytics in Times of Big Data Challenges.’ arvato Systems, one of the sponsors of the new study, has already enjoyed success with its own big data projects.
According to PAC, German companies have recognized the challenges of big data and are looking to in-memory data analytics as an important solution option. Around 60 percent of companies are planning to make investments in data warehouses, data management and integration, and in-memory data analytics. Based on the study, companies see the greatest added value in the acceleration of existing data analyses.
For arvato Systems, big data has long ceased to be trendy and has rather become common practice. A big data project for its customer DeutschlandCard proved to be a success, managing to tackle the challenge of completely managing and quickly analyzing a significantly increasing volume of transactions and the related data of more than 10 million customers, 10,000 participating affiliates, and 250 online partners. Together with the customer, arvato Systems entered new territory and met the special requirements within a limited time frame by implementing a solution based on Oracle Exadata. The results are clear to see: shorter provisioning times, timely analyses and evaluations of massive data volumes, as well as an intelligent archiving strategy within a scalable architecture optimally designed for future growth.
Comprehensive big data solutions are thus already available from arvato Systems as a single source, providing services tailored to the individual needs of each company, from consulting and solution design, to hardware and software, to operations and supplementary services.
