Brighton, May 14th, 2007. – At GC Expo 2007, the most important British IT event for the public sector market, SEH Technology will focus on its comprehensive portfolio for secure network printing. On June 12 and 13 at booth 615B, the network printing specialist will present solutions especially interesting for public, government, and military institutions which have the highest security demands. These include a large fibre optic print server portfolio and product features such as the latest standards for encryption and authentication.
There is a growing awareness that secure network printing should be part of any solid IT security policy. At this year’s GC Expo public sector technologists and interested visitors may find out about SEH-s security solutions for network printing: Print data encryption with TLS/SSL during data transmission, the support of several authentication methods according to IEEE standard 802.1x (including Cisco-LEAP, EAP-MD5, EAP-TLS as well as, from June on, PEAP, EAP-TTLS and EAP-FAST), and access protection for print servers and printers are all part of the features of the current SEH product range.
Eavesdropping Security Right up to the Printer
At the show SEH will exhibit the most comprehensive portfolio of fibre-to-the-desk (FTTD) print servers worldwide. These allow users with strict demands regarding eavesdropping security and data protection to connect output devices directly to fibre networks and to benefit from eavesdropping security right up to the printer.
Up-to-date Smart Network Printing Solutions
SEH will also offer information about its broad portfolio of external print servers and interface cards for HP, Epson and Kyocera devices, featuring multiple protocol support including IPv6-support for all network types and operating systems. Interested visitors may find out about the print server appliance ISD300 for intelligent spooling and print job management, the Output Monitoring Device (OMD), a hardware-based solution for transparent print cost controlling, as well as about solutions for network printing in server based computing environments.
