ASHAWAY, RI and LONDON — (Marketwire) — 10/01/12 — GreenBytes®, Inc., a developer of cloud-scale IO-offload solutions that enable organizations to meet VDI performance requirements using their existing architecture, today announced that it is expanding its business operations in the European market by enhancing its London presence and opening an office in Amsterdam. This will add key engineering, sales and support staff to provide customers and reseller partners with enhanced support services for the company-s high-performance optimization solutions for virtual infrastructure.
Earlier this year, GreenBytes announced the appointment of UK-based Stephen O-Donnell as Chairman, as well as the addition of strategic UK-based value added reseller partners Enables IT, Cognitive Network Solutions, Intasel, and Envertica, joining existing European partners KPN Corporate Market, SCC, Telindus ISIT, E-Storage, Visolity, InterExperts, Morex, and Losstech. Back in May, GreenBytes announced that it received $12 Million in Series B funding in a round led by London-based Generation Investment Management LLP, along with participation from Battery Ventures and GreenBytes management.
“We are focusing our efforts in Europe on sales execution with an expanded presence out of London to cover the United Kingdom and the opening of an office in Amsterdam to service mainland Europe,” said Richard Petrocelli, president and COO, GreenBytes. “With a stronger footprint in the region, we plan to provide enhanced services to GreenBytes customers and partners as we continue to gain traction in the European market.”
