CAMBRIDGE, MA — (Marketwire) — 09/26/12 — On October 9, 2012, the will present an Innovation Series event: “The Innovation Battle: Competing Visions for the Future in a Post-PC Era.” An interactive discussion will look at whether the future is in mobile devices or enchanted objects. Mobile devices are rapidly becoming the way we interact with the world around us. In fact it is anticipated there will be 20 billion smart devices connected by 2020. Enchanted objects are designed to meet human needs and demands based on user analysis and computing connections. Including examples such as a refrigerator that tells you when to buy more milk, an umbrella that knows when it is going to rain, and health devices that automatically remind you to take medicine or other health activities.
The panel will discuss how each directional viewpoint will impact entrepreneurs in designing products and services for the future; provide tips in identifying the most promising areas for future growth, such as cloud/storage/analytics; and recommend strategies on moving forward to enter one of these exciting markets.
