VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA — (Marketwire) — 06/15/12 — Webtech Wireless Inc. (TSX: WEW), a leading provider of vehicle fleet location-based services (LBS) and telematics technology, has won a British Columbia Technology Industry Association (BCTIA) award. Webtech Wireless was recognized in the category of Adoption of Technology for its implementation of a Quadrant solution for Troyer Ventures, an oil and gas service provider based in northeastern British Columbia. At the announcement, BCTIA President and CEO, Bill Tam, said, “The Adoption of Technology award recognizes a company whose technology has proven to make a positive difference for customers.”
As a successful company facing capacity constraints associated with growth, Troyer Ventures took the initiative of adopting a Webtech Wireless Quadrant solution to automate its administrative operations including logbooks, fleet tracking, in-cab communication, and provide back-end integration with its dispatch system, TMWSuite. Integrating Quadrant into its operations gives Troyer the ability to dispatch directions to drivers in the field, manage all mobile assets, integrate shift schedules and rely on operational information flowing directly to its client invoicing system. “Quadrant allows us to re-allocate staff to more strategic activities than merely pushing paper and most importantly, it has allowed us to grow and handle more revenue without adding staff,” said Steve Troyer, founder and President of Troyer Ventures.
Webtech Wireless and Steve Troyer joined over a thousand people from the technology and business community at the BCTIA annual gala awards night held at the Vancouver Trade and Convention Centre on June 14, 2012. “Webtech Wireless has built and deployed solutions to over a thousand customers since inception,” said Webtech Wireless President and CEO, Scott Edmonds. “This award is especially meaningful to us because it recognizes not just our technology, but also the positive impact we can have our clients operations.” Edmonds and Troyer, who jointly accepted the award, recognized the decisive roles technology and innovation play in British Columbia. “Our ability to provide efficient solutions to our customers allows us to continue to grow the industry in our community,” says Troyer. Edmonds added, “Profitable growth eventually leads to more jobs in BC.”
