NASHVILLE, TN and ORLANDO, FL — (Marketwire) — 05/03/12 — Projection experts at are proud to announce that they successfully executed the first-ever 3D projection on Caesars Palace in Las Vegas on Wednesday, April 25, 2012. With content development from , the two companies were the first to execute projection on the façade overlooking the Neptune pool as part of last week-s show.
Global technology company brought DWP Live on board to lead the impressive show. DWP Live in turn brought in Monster Media 3D to develop the content, which consisted of 3D animation sequences and graphics customized for the event. To display the content, DWP Live used 12 Barco HDX-W18 projectors to provide crisp images and deep colors at ultra-high resolutions, further enhancing the dynamic 3D effect. These top of the line projectors are the most compact and powerful on the market and allowed the entire façade of Caesars Palace to be mapped with ease. Pandora-s Box Media Server Pro Servers were used to coordinate the projectors.
“Barco is the most dependable manufacturer out there,” said Danny Whetstone, founder of DWP Live. “We always turn to Barco for these types of big impact events because, while their advanced processing sets them apart, I have so much trust in their products that I know we will deliver a truly memorable projection experience for viewers.”
Dynamic 3D projections are becoming a popular medium for advertisers looking to create media buzz for events, concerts and shows with an efficient CPM and strong ROI. The wow-factor of 3D on a large scale not only attracts a huge number of viewers at each event, but videos of the events often go viral through social media because of their awe-inspiring impact.
“For most people, seeing their first projection is a -can-t-believe-my-eyes- experience,” said Jack Hattingh of Monster Media 3D. “It-s as if an IMAX film came to life in 3D, only on a much larger scale. Not to mention the content is completely customized to the event they-re attending.”
Barco hosted the “Belgian Beer Bar” at CinemaCon, the official convention of the National Association of Theatre Owners (NATO), and commissioned the projection as an impressive display during the poolside party. A four-minute 3D projection incorporated Barco branding, a spectacular display of bright flashing lights and shifting building effects synced to dubstep dance music to wow attendees and keep the party going. The is available for viewing on DWP Live-s YouTube channel.
